*** Lately I've been using individual receivers for each day's listening sessions (with the same antenna), in order to verify the performance of each receiver and antenna combination.
I live in the urban area of São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo, less than 300 meters in a straight line from the Volkswagen do Brazil headquarters (were I worked for 35 years), with all its machinery producing hundreds of cars a day, an excellent generator of random noise 24 hours a day.
Today I used the Tecsun S-2000, connected to a 20-meter-long wire antenna, stretched 8 meters off the ground, above the roofline of the house.
Nothing to complain about! The S-2000 performed satisfactorily in a real test reception, presenting Adventist World Radio satisfactorily via Agat GUAM (15215), at one of the worst times of the day, that is, 12:42 local time, 15:42 UTC.
